Although they've already grown a purple-blue exoskeleton, Scarmis larvae are not yet a danger to any but the fallen. They have not yet developed their sharp claws, but they are ravenously hungry. Scarmis larvae are rarely found outside a Scarmis Pit, and within they are usually contained in the Queen's chamber. They are hatched individually, but take a while to mature.

 

Their sharp teeth will chew a fallen body extremely quickly, draining the life from it much more quickly than a Scavenger Bird.
