Horn The horn is a rare instrument, fashioned of brass from some distant island. The origin of these instruments is unknown; some suspect they are transported by Darshak merchants who are working in collusion with the staff at the Golden Butterfly casino. Unlike many instruments, the horn is playable by even non-bards, though its capacity for varied sound is limited. It is available as a rare prize from the most expensive of the Golden Butterfly's slot machines, and when played, produces a victorious (although brief) fanfare which to many exiles is reminiscent of having just finished a lesson with their trainer of choice. In recent years, the horn has become associated with Super Chicken, who made a habit of blowing the horn he obtained until its sound became near-synonymous with his identity. His industriousness in bringing the sound of the horn to the people led to a secret council of bards retrofitting each horn in the lands with a device designed to stifle its capacity for frequent fanfares. |
