Primate

Most primates are of a hostile, aggressive family known as Wendecka, found usually in the mountains. There are many types of Wendecka, as well as several types of their wilder, more vicious relatives known as Sasquatches.

Note: Rangers do not believe that Wendecka and Sasquatches are related to Yorilla.

Wendeckas

Wendecka travel quickly on all fours, using the knuckles of their hands to propel themselves at greater speed. The pelts of Wendeckas are useful to traders and if property skinned can generate income for exiles.

Lore has it that they understand the common speech and will respond to insults. Insulting wendeckas is best done by shouting phrases like "Wendeckas smell nice and flowery!" or "Wendeckas are always nicely groomed!"

Sasquatches

Sasquatches tend to be larger than Wendecka, though their sizes overlap somewhat. They are stronger than Wendecka, with even their young exhibiting strength comparable to the strongest of the Wendecka. They prefer the grassy lowlands to the mountainous land preferred by Wendecka, though they sometimes have been known to inhabit both.

Yorillas

Yorillas are a family of monkeys native to Metzetli Island. Though they are not necessarily any larger than Sasquatches, they are of a different build, with longer limbs and an upright, swinging gait. Their population most densely populates the rainforest's floor.

Yorillas were originally known as Samahees upon their discovery, but due to the creature's uncanny resemblance to a certain Zo they were renamed.
