Traditional Fighter
A Traditional or Trad Fighter is a Fighter who refuses to train any of the specialized fighter weapons or fighter subclasses. They claim their style was the original training method before specialized weapons existed and use this as justification for their training. With this logic the training method of specialized weapons is considered non-traditional.

Some traditional fighters refuse to train anything that does not improve their fighting, but that mind-set is not unique to the traditional fighter.

The traditional fighter thinks that the non-traditional fighter is defined and limited by the weapon or title they become. The non-traditional (or specialized) fighter must rely on their specialized weapon and tools to define their strength and that without them they are weakened substantially in many areas. Whereas the trad fighter is defined by what they choose to train and become. The trad fighter can be armed with any of the non-specialized weapons and still have the same strength, relatively.

A specialized fighter without their weapon or tools would lose hundreds if not thousands of ranks invested or received from them. A traditional fighter will never lose the ranks they have trained when switching weapons. A quote whispered among the traditional fighters is, "I am the weapon." The strength comes from within. The non-traditional fighter's weapon is the specialized weapon, that without, they become reduced in many areas.

What the standard traditional fighter, or "Vanilla" fighter looks like. These old ornery warriors devote themselves entirely to obsolete training methods. Despite Vanilla fighters being majorly inefficient and weaker than everyone else, they somehow seem to think they are superior or "more real". These delusions are followed by the belief that they actually earned their strength and no one else did, despite them spending almost their entire career in the library.
