FighterSubclassesOnce a fighter reaches the third circle, they have the option of pursuing a fighter subclass. Each subclass offers its members access to weapons and abilities not available to other fighters, and follows the spirit of the Sun, Moon, or Earth. Fighters wishing to join a subclass must first study one of the specialty weapons, and then complete specific quests required by each subclass. The three fighter subclasses are as follows: Members of the Earth-Earth subclass are known as Champions. Also, known as "pure fighters," Champions specialize in the use of the Fellblade?, and are some of the hardiest fighters in the lands. In addition to the use of magical earth minerals, which allow for a flexible fighting style, Champions can also light creatures on fire with the Lava Cloak or turn to stone with the Stone Girdle. Members of the Earth-Sun subclass are known as Rangers. Rangers specialize in the Gossamer, and they are known for being able to slay many beasts quickly. Skilled Rangers are even able to charm creatures that they've studied, or even take the form of a beast, gaining all its abilities and weaknesses. Members of the Earth-Moon subclass are known as Blood Mages?. Little is yet known of Blood Mages, but it is known that they are practitioners of the Bloodblade, which allows them to deal massive damage to their enemies, by feeding the blade their own blood. Fighters can choose not to join any of the three fighter subclasses, though doing so has no benefits, other than not having to spend time training in a specialty weapon. |
