PortalPassKeyPortal Pass keys open a locked door on Portal Island, allowing access to an inner section of the Island where a permanent portal to the Ethereal Plane is located. As part of a deal between the Brion brothers and the Mystics Guild, the Brions agreed to create the stable portal to the Ethereal Plane so that exiles would stop trespassing through their various Keeps to reach that plane. However, to limit access, the portal was placed behind a locked door, and the few keys were given out to Mystics prominent in the negotiations. Later, properly trained mystics learned how to make Portal Pass Keys out of three ethercles and a tin ingot in the Forge in the Ethereal Plane. |
