GiantCarnivorousPlankton

Giant Carnivorous Plankton is one of the most dangerous hazards on the ocean in spite of its small size — or more likely, because of it. When not attacking, they are nearly invisible in the ocean waters. They are not difficult individually; though they attack at a very rapid rate, they have poor constitution and are easily slain.

The primary danger giant carnivorous plankton present is through their numbers. In the plankton feeding grounds (typically tropical or sub-tropical waters), hundreds breed and quickly ensnare any unwary travellers.

A common acronym used is GCP.
