Herpetid Poisonous lizards found in the Northwest Forest. Herpetids are easily identified by their yellow-green scales and bright red markings. While not particularly dangerous, Herpetids have numerous poison glands located along their backs that they use to spray poison with when threatened. These secretions have an effect similar to alcohol, and anyone who comes into contact with it immediately begins to lose motor control. While most exiles avoid these poisonous reptiles, there are a handful of exiles who purposefully come into contact with them for the effects of their poison. The former captain of the Puddleby Navy, Vagile Savane, was well known for keeping Herpetids as pets, and licking them. It is possible to recover the hides of Herpetids, but their use is yet unknown. Baby Herpetids are known as Herpetads. |
