Tholin![]() Squat, long-lived bottom-dwellers, Tho'lin are not considered a prime choice by most fishers. Though they grow to large sizes, they are difficult to clean and do not preserve well. Except for their tail meat, which has been compared in flavour to that of crawler, they do not have exceptional flavour. Their mottled orange-brown skin and thug-like appearance make them too unattractive to be considered a prize specimen for most. Because they dwell beyond the reach of sunlight, Tho'lin have eyes that glow a pale purple. Their pectoral and ventral fins are articulated in such a manner as to allow them to "walk" along the ocean floor. The two lengthly appendages sprouting from the middle of their head are used to lure smaller fish for the Tho'lin's meal. |
