Liranth is one of the eleven Human protectorates of the Ascendancy. It is located in the northeast of Shan Deral. Many trade routes converge in Liranth, with ships arriving from Nord Island ?, and goods coming and going overland from Fosner, Brimoa ? and the Halfling Shires.

The capital of Liranth is the city of the same name. The protectorate is named after the ancient Liranthian Kingdom. Though it possessed considerable wealth, this kingdom was notable for its reluctance to engage in warfare. It was one of the first human kingdoms to fall to the Darshak and did so with only minor resistance.
