WakeMeUp![]() Mobile flowers local to Gungla Island, Wake Me Ups are found in the boggy flats region in the northeastern stretches of the island. When found, they grow in patches — usually several separate stems within a small region. Each Wake Me Up plant starts as one stem that typically splits to two just above the ground. These stems are thick and flexible, and allow them to support the heavy flowers as well as keeping the plant upright whilst moving. The flowers are spherical blue petals, that split to reveal long spikes when the plant senses that danger or food is near. Because of the extraordinary nature of their blooms, they have sometimes been referred to as morningstars. The Wake Me Up's spikes are sometimes sturdy and even enough to be recovered for use as a crossbow bolt when trimmed and honed. Wake Me Ups are of interest to a number of scholars, including Colmert, who is known to keep a potted plant in his keep. |
