WildBoar

Unique to Gungla Island, these fiercely erratic boar are prized both for their tusks (which make a good spear-tip) and for their carcasses, which are useful in fashioning a quiver for arrows or quarrels.

Wild Boars are covered in thick, coarse bristles of ruddy hue, and are found primarily in the arid grasslands or somewhat damper woodlands of Gungla. Their broad snouts are guarded by two long, razor-sharp tusks that extend well beyond their body. These tusks are used for foraging as well as in battle. Boars have feral tendencies, and will prance in circles around their enemies. They are not always aggressive, and sometimes choose to avoid battle rather than fight.

As with all varieties of pig, boar make a distinctive grunting noise by which they can easily be recognised. They are usually found in small packs, known as sounders. To avoid hunters, boars are primarily nocturnal.
