CavernRat Cavern rats are the less common relative of the valley rat. They are equally omnivorous, and are found primarily in caves such as the entrance to the eastern cove on Kizmia's Island and in the lava tunnels near the south pass. Cavern rats eat up to one third of their body weight each day, if given the chance. They are excellent swimmers, but most prefer to stay on land. Those that swim on a regular basis are classified as bilge rats, a denomination that lives almost exclusively aboard Darshak vessels, where they frequently need to abandon ship as their home is sunk or captured. |
