LavaBeetle Common in regions that most would consider unliveably hot, the Lava Beetle is a slightly stronger relative of the Fire Beetle. Though it is the strongest of the Scarab Beetle family, it is actually less dangerous than the Fire Beetle. Lava Beetles, rather than shooting flame, prefer to attack directly with their well-developed front legs. They wander about between attacks while recovering balance, and are better known for the pain (exacerbated by heat) created by their attacks than for their accuracy or defensive ability. Lava Beetles blaze with incredible heat, and glow an orange crossed by hotter still threads of yellow. Their corpses are valued for their role in the production of Champions' lava cloaks. One lava beetle makes an appearance as part of the fifth circle Fighter test. |
